  • Complete extensive initial and annual trainings that cover safe and appropriate care as well as education about Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
  • Follow the care plan developed for your care or your loved one’s care and document this care which is monitored by Elder Bridge’s Registered Nurses
 
To protect your safety, Elder Bridge conducts the following background checks of all its caregivers:
  • Illinois Health Care Registry
  • Illinois and Federal Sex Offender Registries
  • Department of Homeland Security E-Verify (determine the eligibility to work in the U.S.)
  • Illinois State Police Criminal Background Check
  • County-specific Criminal Background Checks
  • Current Driver License and Auto Insurance Information
 
To protect your financial security, Elder Bridge covers the following:
  • Pays all federal and state wage taxes (federal and state withholding taxes and Social Security and Medicare Taxes) that protect you from unexpected income tax audits
  • Pays all unemployment taxes, both federal and state, to protect you from unemployment claims from caregivers after services are completed
  • Provides Workman’s Compensation Insurance to protect you from legal claims for injuries while care is being provided
  • Provides General Liability Insurance Coverage to protect you in case of loss or theft

Caregiver Training University Certification confirms caregiver competency with training for professional caregivers on daily living activities, safety and age-related illnesses, meeting state guidelines. Caregivers must pass an exam to confirm retention of the training information to become a certified caregiver.
